Known for its rich soil, endless sun and gentle Pacific breezes, the DAOU Estate Vineyard creates luscious varietals and limited production blends under the passionate direction of brother Georges and Daniel Daou. Their much sought after Cabernet Sauvignon starts with soft ripe blackberries and cooked black current dominating the initial aroma both on the mouth and nose. The seamless texture of vanilla bean and holiday spices combine with rich black fruit and cedar giving evidence of true balance. There are firm tannins that are softened by bright acidity. Finally, there is an explosion of ripe raspberries and blueberries, with a hint of tobacco and pepper on the finish.

White Wine by Witness Tree from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The Pinot Blanc variety is grown in very small quantities in the Willamette Valley. Only two and a half acres in production, planted to the Abbey Ridge clone of Pinot Blanc, is a low-yielding, early-ripening, small-cluster vineyard site. This limited bottling offers delightful fruit flavors reminiscent of apple and pear, balanced beautifully by a crisp refreshing acidity. Pair with lighter table fare, crab or other shellfish, or simply on its own.

White Wine by Guigal from Condrieu, France - Rhone. Condrieu is the original home of the Viognier vine and is the source of one of the world's most exotic white wines. The tiny, parcelated appellation (500 acres total) is located on steep hillsides beginning at a bend in the Rhone river just south of Cote Rotie and continuing intermittently about 12 miles further south. Marcel Guigal supplements the production of his own Condrieu vineyards with grapes purchased from numerous small growers, vinifying two thirds of the wine in stainless steel and the remainder in new barriques. The delicately elusive perfume suggests pears, spice, and honeysuckle, while on the palate the wine is surprisingly rich and full-bodied, a wine for both the intellect and the senses. Condrieu may be enjoyed as aperitif with foie gras, lobster and other rich seafoods, and white asparagus.

12 bottles of Le Prince de Courthézon 2013 Cotes du Rhone AOC.A Gold medal winner for the last three vintages, this is a gorgeous, velvety Rhône red and offers terrific value. It's from the only co-operative cellar in Châteauneuf du Pape, the top appellation of the southern Rhône, and is owned and run by local growers. The grapes are from vineyards that abut the famous name appellation and share the same stone strewn soil that promotes superb ripeness and richness of fruit. The vines are old and gnarled, producing few grapes but with rare concentration of flavour. Well travelled winemaker Thierry Ferlay brings a modern perspective to his work, and we think his Côtes du Rhône is exceptionally good. The 2013 vintage is a cracker - spot-on with lamb, a robust cassoulet, duck or slow cooked casseroles. You must be over 18 to buy this product. By adding this product to your basket you are confirming that you and the recipient of the product are over 18

Situated in western Romania just to the east of the town of Timisoara, Cramele Recas is a very impressive new winery on an old site. In the last 10 years, both the vineyard and winery have been completely, and exhaustively, modernised in order to be able to fully control the production process using the latest methods. The winery has been fully fitted out with stainless steel, automatic temperature controlled tanks for fermenting and storing the wine. 100 % estate-grown handpicked fruit from the Dealul Tiganului vineyard was destemmed and lightly crushed, before being chilled to 8 degrees C for 8 hours maceration. 20% of the juice in each tank was drained for rosé, before being decanted for 24 hours and inoculated with selected yeasts for fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 4 weeks at 12 C. Fermentation was stopped by cooling to zero degrees C, with a residual hint of sugars 6 grms/l) to give a soft, rounded finish. Made from 55% Feteasca Neagra and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Red Wine by Casanova di Neri from Tuscany, Italy. Brunello di Montalcino Casanova di Neri is characterized simply by its white label, to the point where it has now been renamed White Label on the American market. This Etichetta bianca is born in vineyards that look to Montalcino from the east, at an altitude which varies from 350 to 480 metres above sea level, very close to the cellar. The main characteristics of this wine are elegance, finesse, and longevity. It matures in large, used barrels for about 42-45 months and perfectly represents the estate's desire to express a product distinguished by character and tradition.

Situated in north western Spain, the Rueda region sits on a level with the top of Portugal. It lies within the provine of Castille-Leon and takes its name from the town around which most of the vineyards are situated. The region has a long history of vine growing but it is not untill the mid eighteenth century, when the big Rioja firm of Marques de Riscal takes an interest, that production takes off. This wine is made by yet another invader from Rioja, Bodegas Riojanas. Pale-yellow with green hues; very clean and bright. Intense nose with aromas of fruit, white blossoms and fennel. Well-balanced, round, tasty and fresh in the mouth, with a pleasant, bite on the finish.
