Known for its rich soil, endless sun and gentle Pacific breezes, the DAOU Estate Vineyard creates luscious varietals and limited production blends under the passionate direction of brother Georges and Daniel Daou. Their much sought after Cabernet Sauvignon starts with soft ripe blackberries and cooked black current dominating the initial aroma both on the mouth and nose. The seamless texture of vanilla bean and holiday spices combine with rich black fruit and cedar giving evidence of true balance. There are firm tannins that are softened by bright acidity. Finally, there is an explosion of ripe raspberries and blueberries, with a hint of tobacco and pepper on the finish.
