We booked a cabin right by the ocean. Kids loved it and there's so much to do.. surfing during the day, smores by the fire at night, and the kids loved it. The cabins we stayed in usually book out pretty far in advance, but camping with a tent is a lot cheaper ($10 per person / per night).
