Education: Dr. Adam Shoukry was born and raised in Forest Hills, NY. Knowing he wanted to be a dentist since before graduating high school, he applied for and was accepted to the highly competitive seven-year BA/DDS program in NYU, in which he would complete a rigorous 3-year undergraduate course of studies. He graduated with honors and received his B.A., also while receiving the prestigious founder’s day award. He immediately moved on to NYU College of Dentistry. After completing another rigorous 4 years of study and training near the top of his class each year, he received his doctor of dental surgery degree as a member of the prestigious OKU national dental honor society in 2005. Training: Dr. Shoukry attained his NY state dental license through successful completion of the north east regional board of exams (NERB). He then chose to apply for a general practice residency for further training, where he was accepted at the highly-touted Nassau university medical center program. Upon completion of his one-year residency, his directors presented him with the option of staying for a second year as chief-resident, where he would further his training and treat more complex cases, as well as have the chance to train and mentor incoming first-year residents. Dr. Shoukry jumped at the chance, and graduated from the program in 2007. Career: While in private practice, Dr. Shoukry stays dedicated to continuing education, having completed many accredited courses in all aspects of dentistry. His focus is staying on the cutting edge of dentistry, and he truly believes learning is a lifelong process. He believes in building relationships, giving his patients the best care he can possibly give, and educating them as to the condition of their oral health so that they may make informed decisions. Dr. Shoukry truly loves what he does. Membership: Dr. Shoukry is a member of the American dental association, New York state dental association, academy of general dentistry, and the American academy of cosmetic dentistry. Interests: In his spare time, Dr. Shoukry enjoys staying active by weightlifting, playing football, and basketball. He is also a music-lover and an avid piano player/singer (you just might see him performing at an open-mic night in the city one random night!).
