Common triggers include pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and certain pollutants. Asthma, on the other hand, is a chronic lung condition where the airways become inflamed and narrow, making it difficult to breathe. Symptoms include coughing, wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
