In July of 2007, Nalynn Dolan Caine started a unique writing journey that will last for three and a half years. What started with just one article, in the end became a book full of emotions and love for beautiful places and people around the world. "Places to go" is a collection of travel articles written from July 2007 to December 2010, a story about almost 120 main destinations with many more small gems: from distant romantic beaches to street restaurants and smiling people. This book can be roughly divided in four sections. Roughly because the main idea is the same, just the presentation is different. In the first part there are longer articles about towns, places and countries, while the second part is a collection of shorter articles about small gems that have something in common. The third part is a series of articles about magnificent buildings, and just like every journey should end with a good drink in a fine restaurant, the last part of "Places to go" ends with restaurants around the world."Places to go" is not a usual travel book with "go there, do that" information, this is a book written with passion and love for every destination. If you weren't at the destinations described here you will enjoy, and if you were you will still find something you didn't see before."The writing style is fascinating, a mix of story-telling and tourist guide speech, with a twist in almost every sentence. Sometimes I had a feeling that Great Bard himself wrote down a sentence or two, but all with a good measure. "Places to Go" serves triple causes, I dare to say. First, it can be a welcomed guide to a destination you are about to visit. Second, it can be read as a complete work, not dividing it into pieces. And third, it is a reminder that writing gems are just around the corner, we just need to put a bit bigger effort to find them. I would love to read "Places to Go II". I would really love it." - An excerpt from The New York Times review.

Grab this Magical book… Gather the kids (of all ages) Get out the scissors, glue and tape… Gear up the Internet… AND Get ready to Engage Your Whole Family in Designing Your Best Ever Disney World Vacation with This Uniquely Interactive Scrapbook of Anticipations & Keepsake Album Even if you spent 30 days at Walt Disney World Orlando, you'd never be able to experience every ride and attraction and or eat at every restaurant. Since most of us can only spend a few days at Disney, we need to make every golden minute count. This means that each family or group member needs to choose ahead of time the specific rides, attractions, and dining options that fit their particular interests and age… and then plan accordingly. That's where I and my team of "Disney Geeks" come in. We've already narrowed the challenge for you by concentrating on only The Disney's Hollywood Studios, a popular Walt Disney World resort park, with its individual areas of Backlot, Mickey Avenue, Animation Courtyard, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, and Pixar Place. We'll show you how to use this book-with its maps, descriptions, notations of appropriate age ranges, and tips-and various Web sites, too, as interactive tools to educate you and the kids about every aspect of every ride, attraction, and restaurant. We want everyone to make wise "I wanna" choices and enjoy collaborating to: 1. Create a "Scrapbook of Anticipations" now, which becomes a take-along picture guide to what each person anticipates: Doing each day in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Read, or allow the kids to read, the description of each ride or attraction. Look at related pictures in the book or visit Web sites listed in the Appendix for photos. Decide which rides and entertainment they want to experience. Cut out/tape the pictures of each ride, attraction, entertainment and restaurant into the allotted spaces, just as my granddaughter is doing above. 2) Make a "Keepsake Photo Album" later, whic

Ever since hearing a restaurateur describe himself as a "keeper of the history," authors Debbie Nunley and Karen Jane Elliott have been on a quest to find other kindred spirits who share their passion for excellent dining and historic preservation. Tradition-rich Maryland provided them many opportunities to visit restaurants where the scent of yesteryear lingers in the air. At the Reynolds Tavern and Tea Room in Annapolis, they ate in a structure formerly known as The Beaver and Lacd Hat, where customers could take a meal, play cards, stable their horses, and make purchases ranging from hats to dry goods to theater tickets. While visiting The Milton Inn in Sparks, they sampled desserts in a former school boasting an infamous graduate-John Wilkes Booth. At Gabriels Inn in Ijamsville, Debbie enjoyed a French Provincial feast near where residents once witnessed Americas first railroad trip-four rail cars pulled by horses between Baltimore and Frederick. Inside John Hagans Tavern in Braddock Heights, Karen dined sumptuously at the place locals once came to "fight chickens, drink bad whiskey, and black each others eyes," in the words of one long-ago servant. Nunley and Elliott have won a loyal following for their deft touch in describing the architecture, décor, cuisine, and ambiance at the many establishments they visit. A Taste of Maryland History covers 90 restaurants and includes 200 recipes adapted for home use, from local standards like Crab Cakes and Seafood Imperial to surprises like Hibiscus Tea Sorbet and Pot Pie of Wild Mushrooms. It compiles the best of what Maryland has to offer.

Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations on earth, and for a very good reason; it's a fascinating and fun place to visit. Each year The City of Light greets close to 30 million foreign tourists, and most of them are headed for a select list of the exact same places. As a result, the lines to get into the most popular museums are long, and once inside it can get unbelievably crowded. Not only that, but the most visited parks, sites, and restaurants - along with the streets around them - are simply crammed with foreign tourists these days. And while these are still must see locations, the fact is that the crush of humanity can become a bit overwhelming at times. This little book is a guide to some great spots and experiences - all within Paris - that will get you away from the multitude of tourists, and give you a little breathing space to enjoy more of this great city - and enhance your organic contact with a Paris many tourists never see.

The book is for those who love travel, boating, adventure, Europe, history or dogs, or all of the above. The eight-summer adventure meanders through the Mediterranean, from Spain, through France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Turkey and North Cyprus, and describes the joys of visiting the ancient ports of the Mediterranean by sea. Enjoy the charms (and ridiculous problems) of Greek island ports, the peace of quiet nights at anchor in picturesque coves, and the raucous energy of the ultimate metropolitan seaport, Barcelona. Suffer through the traumas of unexpectedly rough seas and the recurring problems of breaking boat parts, especially toilets. Absorb ancient and medieval European history in a way not possible by land and find that, when approached from the sea, the most memorable towns are often ones you've never heard of. Fall in love with sweet Roka as she spends her Avanti summers meeting mozzarella buffalos and wandering donkeys, and vigilantly searching for rats (she found none) while she develops a growing fear of cats after several aggressive feline attacks. HE KNOWS IF YOU'VE BEEN BAD OR GOOD. Picture-perfect Evergreen, California, nestled on the shores of Reindeer Lake in the snowy Sierras, is the perfect place for a no-strings holiday fling with a gorgeous Latin lover. Workaholic Kimberly Michaels didn't come to Evergreen only to enjoy herself, though; she's there to consummate a development deal in which her company will take over the town - whether the town wants it or not. Ricco Maza, whose sister owns the quaint B & B where Kim is staying, may be the hottest man she's ever met (and the only one who can persuade her to relax enough for an orgasm!) but if he discovers why Kim is in town, she'll soon be finding more coal and switches than kisses in her Christmas stocking. And as Kim's frosty winter nights steam up with her sexy Santa, she realizes she's going to have to make a choice. Is winning the deal truly the most important thing in life, or will this jaded cynic let Santa finally give her a little taste of Christmas magic?
