A ductless fume hood, also known as a recirculating fume hood or filtered fume hood, is a type of laboratory containment device used to protect users and the environment from hazardous fumes, vapors, and particles. Unlike traditional fume hoods which vent air outside through ductwork, ductless fume hoods use filtration systems to clean the air and recirculate it back into the laboratory.
