Beautiful antique Victorian Scottish agate pebble brooch with a garter buckle motif and a shield center. Colorful agates in a deep red-orange and a muted green are artfully cut and placed within the sterling silver bulbous style frame. The oval pin has an engraved border with a tubular hinge and c-clasp closure. The buckle was a symbol of the binding love between the giver and the wearer.
