Founded 1871 in Magreta Di Formigine, a few miles north of the town of Modena, the Acetaia Leonardi is run by Giovanni Leonardi and his son, Francesco. Their dedication to respecting tradition and their skill result in products that are consistently rated outstanding within the consortium. The acetaia on this small farm is guarded by proud, raucous peacocks, and a variety of barnyard animals. Leonardi Vinegar 3 years old, aromatic with notes of sweet wine. Deep raisin and caramel flavor. Use for salad dressing and fortifying vegetable stocks. Balsamic Vinegar 3-year: These are young vinegars, but still made authentically, without adulteration, not mass-produced. They represent exceedingly good value.
