The vineyard of Les Vireuils produces wines of such great quality that it is allowed to have its name on the label, something usually reserved for Premier and Grand Crus. Round and rich yet delicate and tense, this is a hugely enjoyable wine that demonstrates how Burgundy produces the best chardonnays in the world. Vintages 2010  Taste The extremely small and selective production has resulted in pure flavours of stone fruits, vanilla pods and spice. There is a fair bit of weight behind it, with well integrated oak and a clean citrus finish with mineral flecks. An ideal food wine. Food & Wine Drink with roast chicken or pasta carbonara to bring out the richness of both food and wine.
