The Kenzo; brand came to life in 1970 when young Japanese designer Kenzo Takada opened his first store in Paris. Kenzo turned fashion into a colour-rich style and poetic celebration mixing the flat structures of the Japanese Kimono with Western clothes; taking inspiration from Paris to Eastern Europe and from India to Africa. In 1988, Kenzo began creating perfumes that distinguish themselves for their design and innovative scents. 2000 saw the birth of classic contemporary Flower by Kenzo, a flowery powdery fragrance inspired by the brands emblematic poppy. In 2013, Kenzo has a new dream for its emblematic flower. Beyond telling the poetic story of a flower in the city, Kenzo changes perspective and goes further and higher. Kenzo dreams of lightness, absolute freedom and starts a new chapter, with a new perfume for its poppy. What if the poppy, previously planted in the city, could now rise into the air? It would blossom the sky!
