There are both macro particles and micro particles in the air we breathe. PM2.5 microns are very small particles that can penetrate deep into the lungs. While macro particles causes eye, ear, nose and throat irritation, especially after events like Diwali. Long term exposure to PM2.5 particles can even lead to lung cancer. Avoid going out during high PM2.5 levels or wear a mask when stepping outside. With proper care, you can mitigate the severity of air pollution.
