Cambodia, a country of immense natural beauty, stunning historical heritage, yet scarred by the most brutal and insane suffering imposed upon it by one of its own people in the recent past. The people of Cambodia are as friendly and warm as the sunshine that so readily shines on the million rice paddies but can also make the capital Phnom Penh a veritable dustbowl outside of the rainy season. Take your time to explore this gem of a country, enjoy the myriad of markets, the food stalls and restaurants. Make sure to check the weather patterns before planning a visit there though - in the rainy season you'll need more than sturdy boots to cope with the copious quantity of water that regularly falls from the sky. It's possible to stay in the most modern accommodation and miss the feel of the place, in which case you've not been to the Cambodia that I have had the fortune to visit. You sleep well as well of course! JACK TAYLOR BOOKS OFFER EASY TO READ STORIES AND LOT OF ORIGINAL PHOTOS.

Ever since hearing a restaurateur describe himself as a "keeper of the history," authors Debbie Nunley and Karen Jane Elliott have been on a quest to find other kindred spirits who share their passion for excellent dining and historic preservation. Tradition-rich Maryland provided them many opportunities to visit restaurants where the scent of yesteryear lingers in the air. At the Reynolds Tavern and Tea Room in Annapolis, they ate in a structure formerly known as The Beaver and Lacd Hat, where customers could take a meal, play cards, stable their horses, and make purchases ranging from hats to dry goods to theater tickets. While visiting The Milton Inn in Sparks, they sampled desserts in a former school boasting an infamous graduate-John Wilkes Booth. At Gabriels Inn in Ijamsville, Debbie enjoyed a French Provincial feast near where residents once witnessed Americas first railroad trip-four rail cars pulled by horses between Baltimore and Frederick. Inside John Hagans Tavern in Braddock Heights, Karen dined sumptuously at the place locals once came to "fight chickens, drink bad whiskey, and black each others eyes," in the words of one long-ago servant. Nunley and Elliott have won a loyal following for their deft touch in describing the architecture, décor, cuisine, and ambiance at the many establishments they visit. A Taste of Maryland History covers 90 restaurants and includes 200 recipes adapted for home use, from local standards like Crab Cakes and Seafood Imperial to surprises like Hibiscus Tea Sorbet and Pot Pie of Wild Mushrooms. It compiles the best of what Maryland has to offer.

In July of 2007, Nalynn Dolan Caine started a unique writing journey that will last for three and a half years. What started with just one article, in the end became a book full of emotions and love for beautiful places and people around the world. "Places to go" is a collection of travel articles written from July 2007 to December 2010, a story about almost 120 main destinations with many more small gems: from distant romantic beaches to street restaurants and smiling people. This book can be roughly divided in four sections. Roughly because the main idea is the same, just the presentation is different. In the first part there are longer articles about towns, places and countries, while the second part is a collection of shorter articles about small gems that have something in common. The third part is a series of articles about magnificent buildings, and just like every journey should end with a good drink in a fine restaurant, the last part of "Places to go" ends with restaurants around the world."Places to go" is not a usual travel book with "go there, do that" information, this is a book written with passion and love for every destination. If you weren't at the destinations described here you will enjoy, and if you were you will still find something you didn't see before."The writing style is fascinating, a mix of story-telling and tourist guide speech, with a twist in almost every sentence. Sometimes I had a feeling that Great Bard himself wrote down a sentence or two, but all with a good measure. "Places to Go" serves triple causes, I dare to say. First, it can be a welcomed guide to a destination you are about to visit. Second, it can be read as a complete work, not dividing it into pieces. And third, it is a reminder that writing gems are just around the corner, we just need to put a bit bigger effort to find them. I would love to read "Places to Go II". I would really love it." - An excerpt from The New York Times review.

With the 20-year anniversary celebration of Disneyland Paris, the Top Deals Hotel team prepared a comprehensive guide designed to help visitors in their magical journey. The guide is structured in such a way that any information you need, whether it relates to important details about each attraction park or Disneyland Paris restaurants and shops can be quickly spotted. Top Deals Hotel team decided to assign a detailed chapter dedicated to means of transport that will ensure your trip to Disneyland Paris. You can learn all about the means of transport available in every airport in the city, whether you want to go straight to the park or at a hotel in Paris. Also, if you are staying in Paris, we offer a separate chapter for different ways of arriving to the park. A section of the guide is all about tickets and passes that you can buy in Paris in order to enjoy a variety of discounts, including those offered upon purchasing tickets to the Disneyland Paris Park. The chapter dedicated to rules that must be followed within the park, as well as the one offering you tips and recommendations, so that you can save time and money during your visit here, will prove more than useful for each of you. Disneyland Paris travel guide is ideal for those staying at one of the hotels in Disneyland, as well as for those who choose to stay in Paris. Moreover, a chapter of the guide is dedicated to those who can spend only one day in the amusement park. Thus, they will be able to focus in terms of most important and sensational attractions in the park. Disneyland Paris has never been easier to discover. Although the pages in this guide will help you find attractions, restaurants, shops and favorite hotels, the Top Deals Hotel team was careful not to reveal the charm of Disneyland and let you discover it by yourselves. In terms of enjoying the magic, you will be on your own. Chapters: Disneyland Paris - History Files Discover the Disneyland Park route from America to Europe. Practi
